Exhibition in San Miguel

Mexico bound! I’m delighted to announce a solo exhibition in San Miguel de Allende this summer. ‘Swan, Swan, Pirouette’ features recent work on the theme of fairy tales, including a series of new photogravure prints. Grateful for this feature in the Lokkal publication.

Exhibition invitation featuring image of shadowy silhouettes of woman dancing with two horses on a grey-green background with misty foliage above. The image is by Jennifer Shaw, promoting her exhibition 'Swan, Swan, Pirouette' at Photographic Gallery SMA, June 2025.

The show combines prints on canvas with works on paper. I’ve recently incorporated chiyogami, marbled, and patterned papers into the mix, using the chine collé printing process. In these brand new pieces tiny dancers swirl against varied backgrounds, and mirrors are framed by floral patterns reminiscent of smoke. I’ve been having a blast in the studio and am beyond excited for these prints to make their debut!

Hat tip to the always brilliant Tammy Mercure for helping me update the exhibition title to reflect the new additions.
